Why play as a family?
Kids need presence, not perfection.
Shared time has filled up with individual screens. Everyone in the family is looking somewhere different, even while sitting in the same room. What used to happen over a board game, a song or a bedtime story has gone quiet.
Rushing and exhaustion have left a lot of grown-ups without a shared language with their kids. Playing feels like a waste of time instead of a chance to connect. But kids aren't asking to be entertained, and they aren't asking for perfect parents: they're asking for grown-ups who are actually there. One real hour of play counts for more than a week of perfectly handled logistics.
That's why Familias de Colores exists.
What's a family gathering like?
It's not a workshop. It's not a class.
Families sit in a circle and travel through the seven colors of the rainbow together. On each turn, the color die picks the color and the twenty-sided die picks the card. The card brings a challenge: a question, a movement, a gesture or a moment of silence, and the family lives it out in the circle. When a challenge is truly lived, the family receives the silk veil of that color, and by the end they're wearing the whole rainbow.
Every age gets what it needs, and every temperament comes in through its own door to the same gathering. Here grown-ups join in as players, not spectators, and a grown-up who really plays teaches the most important thing without teaching at all.
A gathering runs about two hours. It can be for a single family or several families together.
The seven questions of the game
Each color asks the family a question.
They aren't answered out loud. They're answered in silence, with the body, while you play.

Where can we do it?
The game goes wherever it's invited.
At home, at a country house, in a borrowed space or at your kids' school. The pace adapts to the ages of the kids in the circle. We work in Medellín, eastern Antioquia and Bogotá, and the game travels to any city in Colombia or around the world where we're invited, in English or Spanish.

How many families can play?
Anywhere from a single family to several families in the same circle. For events with lots of families there's a special format, Family Day, where everyone travels through the seven colors together.
Do we need to know anything before we play?
Nope. You don't need to know anything about color, education or games. Just come ready to be together.
Can we play in English?
Yes. The game is fully adapted for English speakers. Just let us know when you reach out.
Can we do it at our place?
Yes. We bring the game and all its materials to your home, a country house, or wherever you'd like.
How much does a family gathering cost?
