Why a different kind of parent workshop?
Kids need presence, not perfection.
In Colombia, Law 2025 of 2020 requires every public and private school and kindergarten to run a program for parents and caregivers and include it in the school's official educational plan. Too often, that program turns into just another talk: parents listen, nod, and go home the same way they came.
Kids aren't asking to be entertained, and they aren't asking for perfect parents: they're asking for grown-ups who are actually there. One real hour of play counts for more than a week of perfectly handled logistics.
That's why this parent workshop isn't something you listen to. It's something you live.
What's the parent workshop like?
It's not a workshop. It's not a class. It's something you feel in your body.
Families sit in a circle and travel through the seven colors of the rainbow together. On each turn, the color die picks the color and the twenty-sided die picks the card. The card brings a challenge: a question, a movement, a gesture or a moment of silence, and the family lives it out in the circle. When a challenge is truly lived, the family receives the silk veil of that color.
Here grown-ups join in as players, not spectators. There's no lecture and no slides, and nobody has to open up: each color asks the family a question that isn't answered out loud, but through play.
A gathering runs about two hours and welcomes 7 to 10 families. If your school wants to bring lots of families together at once, there's the Family Day format, for 25 to 50 families. The facilitator brings all the materials.

Each color opens up a different way of being together.

It isn't about handing out parenting advice from the outside. It's about each family seeing itself as it plays, with no screens in between, and taking that experience home.
How it went at Jardín Waldorf La Tribu del Sol
The grown-ups forgot about teaching and remembered what it's like to really play.
On July 31, 2026, in El Carmen de Viboral, La Tribu del Sol held its parent workshop with Familias de Colores. It was full of laughter. The kids kept coming up to the board to move the pieces and, little by little, the grown-ups forgot about teaching: they remembered what it's like to really play, without having to explain anything. By the end, they were wearing the colors too.

Can it be for parents only?
The game was made to be played by parents and kids together, and that's where it makes the most sense. If your school needs a parents-only session, reach out and let's talk about it.

Yes. The game is fully adapted for English speakers, so it works for bilingual and international schools too.

Just the space and the invitation to families. The facilitator brings the game and all the materials.
