Guide training
Become a Familias de Colores guide
Where the game becomes a threshold. Where color becomes a question.
A 10-day in-person training in Colombia for people who want to bring the cooperative family game to the families of their own community. Rooted in anthroposophy, lived in the body, and taught by the creator of the game.

What a guide is
The guide isn’t the center. The light is the center.
A Familias de Colores guide doesn’t teach, explain or stand in the middle. The guide keeps the threshold.
Families sit in a circle and travel through the seven colors of the rainbow together. On each turn, the color die picks the color and the twenty-sided die picks the card. The family lives the challenge out in the circle and receives the silk veil of that color. By the end, everyone is wearing the whole rainbow. Nobody wins and nobody loses.
The game has a life of its own. Families speak to the game, not to the guide. The guide prepares the space, opens it, holds the silence between one color and the next, and closes it.
I’m not the center.
The light is the center.
I only keep the threshold.
— The guide’s inner verse
Who it’s for
You don’t need to know anything about color, education or games.
Parents, teachers, homeschool families, early childhood educators: anyone who wants to bring the game to the families of their own community. You only need to be willing to be truly present, and to let the game speak.
It isn’t therapy, and guides never present it as therapy. It’s a cooperative game. There’s no right or wrong here. You just live it.
Ten days in Colombia
From 8 in the morning to 6 in the evening, with the game at the center.
We meet in El Carmen de Viboral, in the mountains of Antioquia, about half an hour from Medellín’s international airport (MDE). Ten full days, around 80 hours, living the game before guiding it.
- Days 1 and 2 · The game is a living being. The seven colors, the question each one asks, and where they come from.
- Day 3 · Preparing the space. The candle, the corn, the cloth, the veils and the music. Your own silence before anyone arrives.
- Day 4 · The opening. The opening verse, the movement that brings everyone together, and the tale that opens the game.
- Day 5 · Guiding the play. Your place outside the circle. The dice, the cards and the veils. The silence between one color and the next.
- Day 6 · Reading the circle. The four temperaments and the senses: where to put the weight, without ever naming it.
- Day 7 · The closing. The seven moments: the corn, the seeds, the closing verse and the breath that puts out the candle.
- Days 8 and 9 · Practice. You guide, the group plays. Then we look at it together.
- Day 10 · Going home. The guide’s notebook, how to invite families, and caring for the name.
Back home, you guide two real gatherings with families in your community. I join by video, and we look at them together afterward. Once both are done, you’re certified as an official Familias de Colores guide.
The seven colors
Each color asks the family a question.
It isn’t answered out loud. It’s answered in silence, with the body, while you play.
- Red · Can we act together?
- Orange · Can we spark joy together?
- Yellow · Are we really here?
- Green · How do we care for what we love?
- Blue · Do we know how to pause and listen?
- Violet · Can we turn what we’ve lived into something beautiful?
- White · Do we remember that we are one?
